Planned cuts to Cardiff University maths department – in the media

Professor Jens Marklof has spoken to BBC Radio Wales about potential cuts to maths provision at Cardiff University.

You can listen to the interview here (42:10-47:45).

The interview follows our call for Cardiff University to reverse its plans for compulsory staff redundancies in the School of Mathematics.

CaMS co-ordinated a global response from academics, culminating in an open letter signed by more than 3,000 mathematicians. This included 17 world-renowned Fields Medallists, 2 Nobel Prize winners, and over 50 Fellows of the Royal Society. You can access the letter here.
